It will never be. EU adds specific tax to all products so unless apple puts a factory somewhere in the EU it won't change.
Uh, no. The difference in price between the US and the EU is the VAT or equivalent, which means that they will have to charge that for production isnide the EU just as well.
The biggest difference is that in the US it's easier to get an iPhone on contract and then skip out on the contract. *That* makes a significant difference. 600 euros including VAT or 600 dollars excluding sales tax, not so much.

A great keynote introducing a revolutionary new design and interface which for me was far more exciting than the iPhone itself. I can already see the next iPod generation taking a similair design and interface but without the phone and price tag. So kudos to Apple... they did it again.

The thing I find funny is that about 90% of the people who were anxiously waiting for or desire the white iPhone are just going to stick it in a case anyway.

Since more people have Intel based Macs, than Macs with Blu-ray burners built in, it would be nice if maybe they prioritized on a Universal version instead...

everybody makes foolish mistakes ... I just don't understand you wishing the buyer gets ripped off.
here's hoping you never make a foolish lane change while driving and have to pay the sort of price you wish on others
I never said I wanted the seller to lose his life or be seriously injured. Show me where I said that.

agree.
it crashes regularly, even on macrumors or on the apple site!
just make it work!
If macrumors or the apple site is crashing safari (my safari hasn't crashed in years) you have something severely wrong with your system. Time for a checkup buddy.

The cost of this equipment will have to come down substantially before i even think about adopting it, i am not going to pay $50 for a disc and $1500 for burner, a quarter of that and i may be able to stomach it. I have encoded all my DVDs and put them on my mediagate player, when these become cheaper i can actually back them up:o
p.s I am in australia hence the price points

ATI 5870 from Apple Store.
Proceed with getting RAM? Well, just buy it and stick it into the computer.
Installation guides are available at apple.com/support.
To get the necessary specs for the RAM, just google on your mac pro model. (i'd say you have a 4.1)

Get a $100 inkjet cd/dvd printer. I use the Epson R320 (has a few more bells and whistles). You can Google images and print just about any kind of image on your discs. They look GREAT!
Generic ink is about $15 for a complete set! Doesn't look the best for photos but works fine for labels.
Thanks for the tips. Still, Lightscribe or Labelflash or equivalent would be a nice feature, especially in a notebook computer. If you're out and about with your notebook and you want to burn a disc, it'd be convenient to be able to just burn a few words on to the disc rather than bothering with printers, inks, labels, markers, etc.

I have a 250gb Seagate Free Agent Go Flex drive ... I was just wondering when they would launch the thunderbolt adapter and would i then be able to use that drive for time machine? with thunderbolt speeds?
I have the 1.5TB model and I've also been wondering if/when they would launch the Thunderbolt adapter. Although I already use mine for time machine.
